I FOUND HER REMAINS |

MILWAUKEES |
|
On the Souldrop turn, A6 near Rushden Northants, lay the remains of the legendary Milwaukees Fun House. I ventured there and stood on the dance floor and held back the tears! |

During the early 90’s Milwaukees attracted ravers from around the country to it’s Friday night parties. Lost in the middle of nowhere on the A6 north of Bedford, thumpin bass and happy smiley revelers filled the small arena. Equinox and the early days of ESP and Helter Skelter promoted a party atmosphere and safe attitude that brought people back there again and again. A true ’One Family’ feeling at this unique venue. Sadly it closed it doors and was left to the savagery of travelers and arsonists who over time have turned the site into one of sadness and disrespect to a place that belonged to the ravers. I went to discover what remained of the site and took along my camera. I was shocked what I found. I was able to gain access inside and was met by an incredible eerie silence and “ghost town” ambience. I share these pictures with you and hope that it will rekindle some memories to anyone who knew Milwaukees. |
